Lampredotto at Nerbonne at Piazza del Mercato Centrale, 12-red in Florence

Lampredotto is a delicious panini you can get from food carts throughout Florence and local restaurants.  One of my favorite spots is in San Lorenzo Market called Nerbone.

To be clear Lampredotto is a peasant food and made from the fourth stomach of a cow.  Don’t let that freak you out.  You’re on vacation and the best way to enjoy vacation is to expand your horizons and dive in as a local.

You can enjoy and learn more about Lampredotto in this wonderful segment hosted by Jennifer Schwartz of the Tuscan Turtle and Pom 613.
